HOPE IN ACTION SCHOLARSHIP

HISTORY

Congresswoman Julia Letlow (LA-05) established the Hope in Action Scholarship Fund in memory of her husband, Congressman-elect Luke Letlow. Luke died on December 29, 2020, due to complications from Covid-19. He was 41 years old. Luke left behind two young children. This scholarship supports students who have lost a parent due to Covid. 

AWARD

$12,500 per academic year, for a maximum value of $50,000 over 4 years 

Eligibility:

Louisiana students in Louisiana's 5th Congressional District and who have lost a parent or parents to COVID-19

OPENS FOR APPLICATIONS: October 1

CLOSES FOR APPLICATIONS: January 31
